ATP No. 1 Heritage Gala Reflections

Friday’s No. 1 Heritage Gala was nothing short of incredible. Actually, “incredible” seems rather benign when you consider that 19 men who once ascended to the pinnacle of tennis were together in one room sharing stories and reminiscing. It was extraordinarily brilliant. That’s more like it. All credit goes to the ATP who put together a flawless event that went off without a hitch. It was a beautiful tribute to the life of the late ATP CEO Brad Drewett, who once envisioned all former World No. 1′s gathered together for one special occasion. I am truly honored to have been a part of it.

I was on Spanish interview duty throughout the evening, which means I had the opportunity to discuss the impact of being a World No. 1 with Marcelo Ríos, Juan Carlos Ferrero and Carlos Moya. All three legends of the game couldn’t have been more amiable and generous with their time.

You can find the Ríos interview by clicking on this link. Additional videos and photos I took myself can be found below. Enjoy!
